Welcome! My name is Michelle Miller and I am a pianist and teacher residing in Edmonton, Alberta, where I run a thriving piano teaching studio in my home offering both in person and online lessons.
What Makes my studio different? I believe piano lessons should enrich lives! My studio offers lessons that students look forward to each week because they are upbeat, engaging and FUN. In this studio we celebrate the uniqueness that is each student and help them find a love for music, joy in the music making and a lifelong ability to make and create music in whatever way resonates most for them. We focus on growth and helping kids feel proud, joyful and confident in their musical skills!
I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music at Trinity Western University and the ARCT Teacher’s Piano pedagogy exam with the Royal Conservatory of Music. I completed a rigorous MYCC certification through Music for Young Children and UMTC certification with Ultimate Music Theory. I am also certified as an Advanced Specialist in Piano through the Royal Conservatory of Music Teacher Certification Program, a member of the Alberta Piano Teacher’s Association and a registered music teacher with ARMTA.
I enjoy living steps from the beautiful Edmonton River Valley with my husband Ken and my two children (now teenagers!), Delaney and Dexter, who have also been my students since they were quite small.
