This Wednesday’s Wisdom is brought to you by a very dear friend and inspiring colleague of mine and are so good to keep in mind as we are only two “sleeps” away from our big Christmas Recital Extravaganza!
“If you make a boo-boo (at the recital), is the piano going to explode? Am I going to smack you upside the head with your music? NO! Mistakes happen. All that matters is that you are HERE, that you are DOING this and that you are having FUN. I don’t care if this is the worst you have ever played in your life, and believe me, your parents, grandparents and family won’t care either because we are ALL just so dang PROUD of you that you have the courage to get up on this stage and play for us! So, let’s have fun!” ~ Shelagh McKibbon-U’Ren
